Set up in 1993, Swasthya Kalyan Blood Bank & Thalassaemia Research Centre was the first licensed Blood Bank in Rajasthan. The blood bank continued its pioneering work in the field by introducing the first platelet pheresis machine of the state in 1995 and getting the first cryoprecipitate license in the state in 2007. For its work, the blood bank was awarded with a state award of Rs. 50,000 by His Excellency the Governor of Rajasthan, 2001.
Since then, Swasthya Kalyan Blood Bank has continued its dedicated faith in ensuring that no one in the state suffers harm due to lack of blood or its components.
